Charlotte Hugel, and Paul Chevreux, a French couple who visited and fell in love with the terroir and potential of Dão.

Charlotte was born into a ancestral wine family from Alsace, but made her own way around the wine industry working mostly on the commercial side of it.

Paul found his way into the wine world as a tour guide at Graham's Port Lodge in Vilanova de Gaia, where he met Charlotte.

On their merry way in the following years, they would visit many wine regions, buy and renovate a house in Nuits-St-Georges, where Paul studied and worked for years before moving to Dão.

In 2019, we bought an old abandoned solar in the historical wine region of Dão. Over the following few years, we started the Vizinho Vinhateiro brand to release our wines, Charlotte has started another business and is now a professional horserider while continuing to help out Paul whenever needed, on fairs and at harvest of course.
